Strange problem with tourer boot door (tail gate?)

Hi I had a similar problem on mine a few years ago, it had already had a replacement tailgate motor the year before and opening mechanism. The consensus was that the gas struts needed replacing, with yours staying open when warm, I'd hazard that is your problem. I have here a brand new set of...

Advice on buying a petrol Accord?

If you want power I would look away from an Accord my 2.4 was a nice car my only problem was they are just totally gutless and too thirsty when traded off with the lack of power. Great car in every other respect that's why I kept it for the OH for 7 years.

    Update on whistling sound

I used midland turbo last year for a refurb on one of my vans. They are only a mile from me so I took it into them, fantastic service they phone with there findings before doing any work as well. My turbo was sat on the counter, and I thought it was a new one, very good indeed, and I don't say...

Is the 2.4 expensive to run?

I think Honda really missed a trick in not doing a V6 for the euro market, because of the vtec there is no torque and because of the mild cam it doesn't really excell at anything where as a v6 with the same spec(on paper at least) would offer a much better drive in my opinion. We changed a pug...

Is the 2.4 expensive to run?

HHmmm... I've got the exec auto tourer with the K24 engine , it's been utterly reliable in the 5 years we've had it , The build quality seems fine my only gripe is they are soooo slow and gutless and really need a bigger cam. As white goods go though there ok and shouldn't **** your wallet with...

    Boot & C/Control

If your tourer is younger than 7 years and i think 100k miles, if you have the right fault code stored on the ecu then you may get it fixed under the extended warranty. This is what I did, they weren't even bothered about having full honda history either.

Are you able to try a different disc as that was my problem a couple of years ago, our local main dealers were all for the replace everything approach but just 60 quid later for a 2nd hand disc it was working to it's usual vauge self of navigating you somewhere almost close to your destination :)

    Do your headlights condensate.

Mine mist up quite badly ever since the dealer replaced the clips without asking me last year, honda dealers don't have a clue in my opinion kwik fit are higher trained.

    Check Engine Light

We find that with lpg you will need a new lambda sensor every couple of years, depending on what type of lpg system is fitted you will sometimes need to restrict the amount of air flow through the air box, you need a different gap in your spark plug as well. Does it have its own ecu dedicated to...

    The Age Old MPG Question

We get about 600 miles between fill ups on our 1.4 berlingo which has been running for the last 10 years on lpg but that has a 100 L tank behind the seats. The only problems we have had in that time were an exploded inlet manifold made of plastic and a replacement ecu last year. Shes just ticked...

    Question for 2.4 owners

Euro NCAP Honda Accord 2009 Crash test

That side impact was dealt with far better than on the 7th gen, quite impressed with that. It's just a shame that whatever they do on the side protection you're body just can't cope with it.
