    Possible silly question re spoilers

don't mean this as an insult to anyone.. but .. does anyone really think it does anything for aero? other than being a styling piece I can't really see it making much difference . unless you're on a track day cornering over 70/80mph lol I dunno though, Im standing by awaiting correction ;)

    Induction Kits 1.8vtec sport

I pulled my resonator box out recently, I just dumped the whole thing, and left a hole where it used to connect. still filtered so should be fine I've seen some people have literally cut the whole bottom off the air box as well lol leaves bascially one big open panel filter .. not sure really...

Hell yeah! I'm getting me some carbon effect sticky plastic, that looks awesome.. also the sprayed one, good job on that too.. equally cool just different strokes for different folks eh. and miles better than the 'wood' also loving the photobombing dogs lol

Couple of niggles and one potential headache?

might be a bit late to be of any help, but re: the screechy sound that might be related to power steering, did you check the fluid level? they do sing a bit when they get low. as I found, when I realised I have a leak in my rack if you do have such a leak.. I got some stuff like radweld but...

    Rear door wont open

<scrap this comment, didn't read yours properly> was going to say about feeling the resistance, but you said that already

    Rear door wont open

climb in from the other side and try the handle from the inside? unless that glaringly obvious and you've tried that already? I have taken the door cards off in the past, and found that the little metal rod that links to the internal handle is a very simple connector. you have to rotate the...

avoid 'Jimmy's Parts' (jap car 'specialist)

I wouldn't mind so much but this is what I do for a job, albeit for an elec. company, I order stuff all day every day and occasionally things are wrong, which is understandable, but at least accept blame and get it sorted pronto there are one or two culprits though lol, some of the suppliers...

avoid 'Jimmy's Parts' (jap car 'specialist)

in fairness... was just about to do a rant about them still not paying me, checked again and they have refunded lol fair enough. I suppose one benefit is I'm now left with a bent but dismantlable steering rack that I don't need to give back. might try and take it apart see if I can't rescue...

avoid 'Jimmy's Parts' (jap car 'specialist)

through that parts 24 thing online I ordered a steering rack from Jimmy's Parts (up north somewhere I think, will update with full address later..) I'll try and be fair.. this is what happened he sends me a steering rack - 'DEFINITELY' off a straight car, yes, it did 36k. right, lovely...

Just bought an Accord Sport 1.8

re: throttle pedal, bear in mind there's 3 main possibilities there.. it's a bit like a bike brake cable, isn't it, so 1, the cable dragging inside the plastic tubing, dont think that's likely as it would have to fray the metal cable itself and I think youd notice that level of wear 2nd, the...

    remove Cat

I see hondamad's point, I suppose you could have 2, one cut, emptied and rewelded for every day, and one good one for the MOT however, to be honest I'd rather have the good one in all the time, if I have one.. also, with the ECU maps etc, wouldnt something auto adjust itself with the change in...

Want to buy F20B6 engine for rebuild

quick update, and to bring this back on topic, I am still interested in buying one of these engines if anyone is getting rid of one? have been offered engine and box (no idea of mileage but will be a rebuild anyway) at £300, but would rather give the money to a fellow honda person than some...

    Lowering Springs

Presuming they're in good nick then it sounds like you're onto a winner there :) always best to have shocks that match the springs if possible, they're designed to work on a certain range of movement, put saggy ones in and you'll just be hitting the limits all the time if nothing else...

    seat heaters

So basically 'loads of agro' haha never mind, I'll revisit this when it goes colder again maybe? Or look for replacement seats off a low mileage crashed one or something

Want to buy F20B6 engine for rebuild

Ah I see, thanks. Was being a bit childish and hoping there would be a 'massive negative camber' option lol Then I grew up and realised that would be daft anyway haha

    remove Cat

In the end I bought one anyway, actually it was about 120 Inc shipping (no idea why the one above says 60..) so with a bit of luck that'll outlast the car. If not hopefully it goes quick enough to be under waruntee (and if not to be honest another 100 in a years time is nothing compared to oem...

    Lowering Springs

Firstly I'm not an expert so don't take this to the bank, as it were.. but.. If you replace the whole lot, spring and shock, (which you probably should if gong lower? Debate this with others first lol) then it's a whole unit with a simple bolt at top and bottom (iirc) so the replacement will...

unfortunately, if this is accurate, the bit I'm talking about is the first one actually :/ (642682) just after the braided hose type flexy piece, whatever that's called so that IS the cat then?
