    Clock gone haywire !

No. Mine has recently gone back to being an hour behind again, after being correct for most of the summer. If you have satnav I don't think you can set it manually, but I may be wrong.

    Design fault?

Just checked and the moulded panel is the same height across the car. I pressed it down and there was no movement in it. I wonder if the windscreen has ever been replaced and the panel not fitted back correctly.

    Design fault?

No, they are both the same. From your photo it looks as though the top section of your passenger side washer jet has been replaced with a much taller once, hence the closeness to the bonnet. The jets should be the same on both sides.

    Design fault?

There is a gap of approximately 10mm. (finger width) on mine.

    Just bought a new Accord

The last sat nav update was 2017-18. You can buy a new disc (Europe-West) off ebay for about £20.

    Front wheel bearing

As F6HAD says, it could well be tyre noise, but detecting where it emanates from can be difficult. I had the same issue thinking the drone came from the front offside wheel. The Honda dealer thought the same and changed the wheel bearing under warranty. It made no difference. Eventually with...

Any recommendations for a quiet, long-lasting "all season" tyre?

Further to my earlier response the droning on my Yokohama tyres only came from my back tyres, although it was initially difficult to detect exactly where the noise came from. I had the tyres examined at my local Blackcircles tyre dealer and they told me that the rear tyres were 'castellated'...

Any recommendations for a quiet, long-lasting "all season" tyre?

Droning noise, as tyres wear, is not unique to Goodyears. The original Yokohamas on the rear wheels of my Tourer began to drone after 20K miles and I changed all four tyres at 27K miles. I replaced them with Goodyear EfficientGrip. My experience of the Goodyears is very different to yours. To...

Any bike rack recommendations for an Honda Accord Estate? (for 2 bikes)

Towball mounted bike racks are very secure. Mine is a cheap one (about £25) which clamps to the towball and is then further secured by a metal link. I have carried two mountain bikes at motorway speeds without the slightest movement. The rack takes less than a minute to attach/detach to or from...

Any bike rack recommendations for an Honda Accord Estate? (for 2 bikes)

Just a word of warning. Thule do not recommend using a tailgate mounted bike rack on the Accord Tourer. I think this is because the tailgate is plastic and they are not designed to carry the extra weight. There have been cases of hinges detaching from plastic tailgates on other cars when used...

    Wheel size

Apart from profile the other big difference between the 225/45/17 tyres specified for the Civic and the 225/50/17 tyres found on the Accord is the load rating. Civics come with a 91 rating, although 94 rated tyres are widely available. The Accord is a much heavier car and has a far higher gross...

Full size spare wheel (225/50-17) iDTEC Tourer (How To)

Hi John. If anyone is fitting a full sized spare you may as well just remove the underfloor lining as it fits perfectly in the well without the need for the fixing bolt. I put the space saver in my wife's Civic which does require a fixing bolt into a pre-drilled hole in the boot floor, as...

Full size spare wheel (225/50-17) iDTEC Tourer (How To)

When I purchased my Tourer I had a space saver spare fitted by the dealer. The underfloor lining was just discarded and the space saver was secured by using the 'fixing kit', which bolts into the floor bracket. However use of a space saver is not recommended (although not illegal) when towing a...

    Wiring for towbar

I've just had a look at the wiring on my car and all the tow bar wiring is routed behind the right rear light cluster and appears to feed into one large connector.

    Wiring for towbar

A universal wiring kit with a by-pass relay will be quite sufficient (and much cheaper) for your needs. There are few advantages to fitting dedicated electrics to an Accord as there is no 'plug and play' facility, so splicing the wiring is still required, and the car does not require...

    Airbag Recall

I have just received a letter from Honda UK informing me that my 2014 Accord Tourer is part of a safety recall regarding the Takata airbag. This is as a result of well documented problems worldwide, where the airbag has deployed with such force that the metal inflator casing has ruptured...

My estate (14 reg) only has two buttons on the key fob. To unlock the boot and passenger doors you have to push the unlock button twice.

    Rear Camera Lens

As well as being useless in bad weather, the rear view camera is also useless when reversing to hitch up to a caravan or trailer. The camera is positioned so it does not show the tow ball, so ***istance is required to hitch up. Unfortunately you don't discover this until a tow bar is fitted.
