    Tie Rod Terror!

Hi everyone. I've been going through the process of changing my front suspension including the top arms, lower ball joints, track rod ends etc. As I've been changing the parts the car has much sharper to drive and slowly eliminating the strange wander I had from the steering. Now all that's...

    Lower Ball Joints.

Hi everyone. I need to replace the lower ball joints but on Euros website there are 2 choices for the lower joint. One is 33.4mm and the other is 42mm I think. I've changed the upper arms and that's put the bottom joints out now lol. 90k ball joints all starting to go now. Any idea which...

How Rotten is Your Impact Bar?!

Since owning my 6th Gen I've noticed that every time I shut the boot it sounded like something was collecting inside the bumper, like gravel or something. So a few weeks ago when I was fitting my Sportex Back Box I noticed what was causing the noise..... When I was underneath I looked up and...

    Body Kits

I've seen a few mk6 pre facelift with front a rear skirts. Do these fit the facelift bumpers? Because I've seen a silver accord ay local scrappy with the skirts on. I just wondered if it would be worth removing? Joe

    EGR Plate Clean (F18B2)

I've read a few posts and bits on the internet about the EGR plate on the 6th Gen Accord's but because my Accord is low mileage I didn't think that it would need cleaning out. So as I had nothing to do last weekend I thought what the hell I'll take it apart and see what's what. Oh god! I was so...

    Sportex Exhaust Upgrade

For my Birthday my family all chipped in to get me a Sportex Backbox. I'm very impressed with the build quality, service, delivery and most of all the noise! And check out the video's on my YouTube channel. Follow the link below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYdKVypaERk Hope you like...

    Meguiars ultimate compound

I tried out some Meguiars ultimate compound on the Accord. I thought it was clean before but I was seriously mistaken! This synthetic compound removed a layer of filth off the car that you could only feel through the cloth during polishing, nothing was actually visible. I done the whole car with...

    Strange wobble...

Since I've owned my mk6 I've had a strange wobble through the car. It's very odd because it feels like it comes through the chassis, not like unbalanced wheels. When I had the wheels refurbished they said no buckles were found and I refitted brand new tyres. I've them precision balanced as...

    Alloy Wheel Refurb

I've had my Sport Alloy wheels and centre caps fully refurbished. I've also bought some new Honda badges for the centre caps and a new set of tyres for the wheels. Really given her a new lease of life! The wheels have been professionally: Shot blasted Chemically washed/dipped Powder primed...

    Nice and Clean

Gave the old girl a proper valet today. Also fitted diadem indicator bulbs. Look near mint. Ready for her full wheel and centre cap refurb next week! Even treating her to a fresh set of tyres as well.

    Sorting the rust!

I've spent the day taking my car apart chasing rust! I did notice the rot on the bulkhead when I bought the car a few months a go. We were graced with a dry sunny weekend, so I grabbed at the chance to sort the rust out properly before the winter really kicks in. It wasn't as bad as I...

    Induction Kits 1.8vtec sport

This is massive noob question! Are they any specific requirements for the 1.8 induction kit? Can you actually buy a kit or could you just purchase a universal kit with all the joints off eBay? Would that fit correctly (with persuasion) lol. Do they perform better with closed induction or better...

    Headlight Restoration

When I first went to view my Sport, I noticed the headlights had started to go yellow and discoloured. They were nothing compared to some Mk6 Accords I had been to see previously that week, but none the less I still wanted them like new! So I bought a Meguiars Headlight restoration kit off...

    Exhaust manifold

I was looking at a stainless steel 4-2-1 manifold and downpipe... but I was having a closer look at the standard one and it looks like a 4-2-1 setup. The manifold is 4 pipes leading to the downpipe which is 2 pipes and that leads into the single pipe flexi joint. So are there benefits from...

    Coolant advice

I've noticed that the coolant is going to need changing soon. I was wondering if there is an equivalent to Honda's type 2 coolant or if it just best to use the original product again. Joe

    Knocking from rear

Since I only picked up my mk6 earlier in the week the only things I can pick up on while driving are a noisy rear tyre at exactly 32mph and a very minor knock from the rear. I've eliminated the interior etc. The noise only happens at very low speed 1st gear mainly when you drive over very minor...
