Tourer owner

OH Dear! I'm in this section quicker than I would like to be lol.
Some of you will have seen my post from a couple of days ago in the introductions section where I introduced myself as a newbie to these boards. All good and well, we are the proud owners of a beautiful 08 plate 7th generation tourer EX which we collected last Thursday evening.
However, when we were driving the car home we noticed a judder/vibration throughout the car at 51/52 miles per hour or if accelerating quickly to over-take something. Although the judder was very bad and went right through the car and wobbled the car from side to side when accelerating fast as well as causing steering wheel judder which was worse cornering or pulling out and overtaking.
Anyway, we didn't worry to much about it because my Hubby thought it felt like a wheel balance problem and we knew the tyres were getting down and would need changing shortly so we booked the car in for a wheel/tyre check the other day. I wouldn't mind, we both test drove the car on a long test drive and it was totally perfect.
Conclusion the wheels needed balancing but that didn't cure the problem and upon further checks the tyre people said three of the tyres were misshapen and really needed to be changed so we bit the bullet and had all four tyres changed.
Yesterday evening we found the problem had improved slightly but not gone so my Hubby changed the wheels from front to back to see if that made a difference and it improved slightly again. But on fast acceleration the car still wobbles/shudders when it gets to around the low fifties then it works its way though the judders/wobbles and is OK.
Today the cars been back in to the tyre people and they've checked the wheels and balancing again and they are happy that they are all OK.
They've suggested it could be the start of a clutch or a flywheel problem developing, has anyone experienced this?
My Hubby is an engineer/technician and he's thinking that could be the problem although he's not convinced, it seems a bit too early to say as the problem isn't pronounced enough to judge that by feel etc at this stage. He suggested it was possibly a tracking/alignment problem or possibly drive shaft whip, but he thinks drive shft whip is unlikely. He didn't suspect tracking/geo etc because the cars drives perfectly straight doesn't pull at all and the tyres were checked before purchase and they were wearing evenly across all the tyres surfaces.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this please? We've paid a good price for this vehicle and we don't want to be left holding a bill for a couple of thousand extra.
Thanks for your help.
PS the dealer we purchased this vehicle from isn't a Honda dealership or Honda specialist.
