Accord 2.0 i-Vtec Ex
Its been a tough choice but I have decided to be sensible and get and Accord again.

So, I have a 56 plate 2.0 Petrol Accord Ex Saloon being dropped off by Honda. 59k on the clock, Full Honda history, Sat Nav + HFT, years mot and tax and a years warranty with Honda for £4800. Now wondering if I should have bought privately but at least I should be getting a decent car.

Its fairly standard but I would be looking to change the alloys, grill and possibly fit a lip boot spoiler.

Awesome! £4800 for 59K, years tax, MOT, Honda warranty isn't too bad mate. Get some pictures up when it arrives.

Looks good mate :)

Dude I hope you're kidding with the car you drive I-vtech... sorry but that's a pet hate of mine!!

Best of luck with the car though, petrols are solid, but if I was living in UK I'd have gone for a 2.4. B)

Haha, can I blame auto correct?

I'm just plodding backwards and forwards to work so didn't really need the 2.4, plus the running costs will be lower on the 2.0.

Give me 6 months and I'll wish I had gotten the 2.4.

I have to admit this is the least excited I have been about getting a car for a while.

Hopefully it will grow on me!

Nice car mate, you can expect utter reliability.. But little excitement. Also think you should've gone for a K24

Well, the car has been dropped off at my work by the Honda driver.

Its a lot nicer than I remembered so am looking forward to the drive home.

Only owned it for an hour and have already bought a new grille :)

Is it only the 2.4 EX that has the wood effect trim? Much as I'd like the EX features, I prefer the Sport spec 'carbon fibre' panels.

If the wood effect comes in the dark blue like mine, it's ok. The bright walnut stuff is horrible though. Couldn't live with that. But agree the carbon stuff looks the best.

try taxing a 2.0 in Ireland.

tax in UK is actually cheap.
Try taxing a 2.4 here - it's so much worse. (€1,034 per annum)

if a 2,4 had Chernobyl radioactive plastic i would still get it over a 2.0 tbh

its much better at the end of the day. better for long cruises, more grunt. slightly less economy but not much, also it is very more suited to upgrades.

they are both very reliable engines which is the main thing i guess.

Very nice, first mod though get them wheels swapped for a set of 17's or 18's

Great looking car mate

I don't think the pictures really do it justice and I am amazed that there is not one mark on the body or interior!

First day and I'm happy, just a little annoyed that the heated seats only warm your back and not your bum.

As for the alloys, yes I would love to change them but its tough when there are 4 nearly new michelin premacy tyres on them

Heated seats should warm your bum, though the passenger one is slightly different due to the side impact sensor for the airbags

Want to trade? I'm stuck with the carbon stuff :(

 I would, but quite honestly, I don't care enough to be bothered to pull apart my interior and swap it all over. Sorry  .

You could always wrap it matt black or something if you're not keen.

The ride will be just perfect on your 16s right now Chris.. There is marked reduction in ride composure when going down to 45 profile tyres on the accord. Leave it as it is mate looks fine

Nice car mate, mine looked just like that when I first bought her... in sliver though, had the exact same wheels too! Now mine looks like a completely different car! Fahad is right about the 16s and ride quality, ever since I went to up to 17 and then 18 it just become rougher and rougher, though the Tein set up on mine doesn't help either

Actually I think I'm just getting old!!

I run 17s and Apex lowering springs. The ride isn't rough, but it's not as smooth as 16s on stock suspension would be. But I do recommend lowering and nicer looking wheels. 16s just don't fill the arches right in my view. Also despite the slightly harsher ride, lowering is by far the best bang for buck modification you can do to a car (generally speaking).

Try sitting on 20"s with 30 profiles ha ha its verging on painful lol fahads right the older you get the more comfort becomes priority
