Terry, thanks for your reply. As the clutch still seems to operate fine, and recently as it has got warmer the noise isn't so noticeable I am going to just live with it for now. I appreciate your thoughts on the problem though.

Thanks for correcting the post location Brett. Anyone have any advice? Someone told me it could be a bearing, but replacing that involves opening up to the clutch and flywheel anyway. However, I don't want to have to fork out for a flywheel if I don't have to. Hiten

Press the lock button twice to deadlock. I don't know if it does this automatically after a certain amount of time if the lock button is pressed only once.
