Goodbye from him and Goodbye from me

Well, the time finally came where I am no longer part of the Honda Accord club, no fault of mine or the car I might add. My 2005 Diesel Tourer has served me well, racking up over 200000 miles. However, recently my usage of the car has decreased but I decided to I kept the car whilst I wasn't...

    Exhaust fumes/smell in cabin I-CTDI

Not a successful story for me. I started trying the DIY route myself but had to take it to Honda in the end as the manifold bolts were really seized and I wasn't able to get the bolts off the old one. Even in the Honda dealership they had trouble with the bolts and tried to charge me for the...

Clutch grinding noise at top of pedal

Terry, thanks for your reply. As the clutch still seems to operate fine, and recently as it has got warmer the noise isn't so noticeable I am going to just live with it for now. I appreciate your thoughts on the problem though.

Clutch grinding noise at top of pedal

Thanks for correcting the post location Brett. Anyone have any advice? Someone told me it could be a bearing, but replacing that involves opening up to the clutch and flywheel anyway. However, I don't want to have to fork out for a flywheel if I don't have to. Hiten

Clutch grinding noise at top of pedal

Hi All, [ 2005 Accord Tourer iCTDi ] I have recently started hearing a grinding noise when slightly pressing the clutch at the top of the pedal about 1 inch. Pressing the clutch further than this silences the noise. The clutch operation appears quite normal in terms of no slipping. The only...

    Drive shaft replacement cost?

Hello all, [05 Accord Tourer iCTDi] I'm getting some juddering between 50-60mph and a slight judder at around 20mph. Research around this great forum seems to indicate that it could be a drive shaft problem, especially as I had the juddering before and after changing from Winter to summer...

    Glovebox light always on

Press the lock button twice to deadlock. I don't know if it does this automatically after a certain amount of time if the lock button is pressed only once.

    Glovebox light always on

Thanks for confirming guys. Seems a bit odd but still a great car. I'll just have to adjust the glovebox lid perhaps to make it close tighter.

Keep getting PI SEEK on some preset radio stations

Hi All, For quite a while now I keep getting "PI Seek" on the Accord radio (Sat Nav version) when selecting some of my preset FM stations. After the radio has finished "PI SEEK"ing (a few seconds) the radio station plays fine, except Captial FM (in London). Googling around seems to indicate...

    Glovebox light always on

On the drive home this evening I happened to notice that the whlist the glovebox was closed the light inside it remains on as I could see light leaking out from the top of it. I opened the glovebox and didn't notice any switches that would turn the glovebox light off. I just wondered if you guys...

    NAVI PROBLEM ON 2004 EXECUTIVE

Check on ebay, there are probably a few around. However, copied DVD's can be difficult to read in the Accord DVD drive.

    Manifold replacement instructions.

Picked the car up today from the local Honda dealer who did the exhaust manifold work, smells better in the cabin now. They initially told me it was a 3 hour job but said it took 5 hours due to some rusty seized bolts. Not sure which bolts they found difficult as the rusty one I came across on...

    Manifold replacement instructions.

Oh well, I didn't get very far. I was stuck at an early point,I just couldn't get the leverage to get the bolts for the cat off. I don't have a long lever/breaker bar. For anyone else attempting this bear this in mind, along with a long wall 14mm socket. Looks like I'll be handing over some...

    Manifold replacement instructions.

OK, looks like the weather is going to be ok tomorrow so hopefully I get to tackle this. I also just got my oil from Lube Tech for the oil change will I will carry out later on but will obviously come in handy for the topup in the turbo during refitting. Just another quick question at this last...
