Reverse light not working, tried everything?!

True. I will do that. No, it was a generic one. I'll see if I can find a working OEM one and test with that. I have a Tourer 2007 also, might steal that one :)

Reverse light not working, tried everything?!

I tested the bulb and socket on the fog light side, they worked. I optically checked the fuse and it seemed ok, but I replaced it with a spare just to be sure. That lead me to the switch. I found a video on YouTube where the reverse switch on the gearbox was bad. So I took a chance, it was...

Reverse light not working, tried everything?!

Because of the reverse switch on the gearbox itself that engages when the reverse gear is selected, the switch which I already replaced.

Reverse light not working, tried everything?!

Thanks for the reply. No, I have not. I don't have a multi meter (and I don't know exactly how to use it, electricity has never been my strong side).

Reverse light not working, tried everything?!

Accord CL9 2006 Type-S. I noticed a while ago that the reverse light didn't work. I've replaced the bulb, the 7.5A fuse in the engine bay and now the reverse light switch on the gear box. And it's still not working... I tested the bulb and the bulb socket on the other side (where the fog...

    Xenon retrofit

I'm running a VVME slim kit with 5000k bulbs on my 2007 Tourer. They work fine, a nice upgrade comapared to Halogens. But, compared to my 2006 Type-S Sedan with OEM Xenon they are rubbish :) You can't compare a Xenon kit against a Mercs "LED matrix" (or something) lights that ze Germans spent...

Tourer - rear brake disc shields rusted away

The rear disks held less than a year, I guess they got warped because of the heat from rubbing against the shield. Or maybe because stuck pistons in the rear calipers, or maybe both... So I ordered two new disks (again, but it was less than having a metal shop resurface the old disks, go...

Tourer - rear brake disc shields rusted away

Hi all, I've replaced the discs on the rear axle on my Accord Tourer. Once everything was of I found that the brake disc shields on both sides had rusted away, the entire shield was just barely staying in place by a few inches of metal left. I didn't have new shields at hand so I cleaned and...

    Binded rear caliper

Remove the carrier and remove the glide pins, clean them and the inside of the rubber dust cover, apply new silicone grease (SILICON, nothing else or it'll eat up the rubber) and make sure the new caliper can move freely on the pins.

HOW TO: Slim HID installation guide

Hi everybody! :) I thought I'd do a quick how to guide for installing a slim HID kit on a 7th gen Accord. Mine is a Tourer Sport 2.0 from 2007 (LHD). What you need: - Slim hid kit of your choise. (I chose VVME 35W with 5000k bulbs). - Good quality double sided sticky tape (I used 3M). -...

Fitted LED number plate bulbs + sidelights

MTEC 5W are much nicer than LED... and they last longer too (you'll see!). I had LED's on my EP3, had to change them every few months. The MTEC are really white and there is not a hint of blue in them. I use them for sidelights on the Accord and togheter with the blue inserts they look great...

    DIESEL AND HID's

Did you buy a slim kit? If so then you can actually fit the entire kit inside the lamp housing. There are plenty of room for it.

    HID's

One word of advice... buy a slim kit. With a slim kit you can actually mount everything inside the headlight housing and you do not need to drill the cover or anything like that. I just put some double sided tape on the ballast and pressed it to the bottom of the housing, connected everything...

Sidelights to LEDs, back to bulbs!

I have also changed to MTEC, that together with 5000k Xenon did the trick.

    HID INSTALL

You do not need to drill the cover, you can place the entire ballast under the bulb inside the lamp. I did it, used strong double sided tape on the ballast and just placed it below the bulb holder and then connected everything. Works like a charm and looks stock when checking the engine bay.

    HID Replacment

I have this problem right now with my kit, 55W 5000k AC slim ballast. The left is almost never on when starting the car, the right is working 98% of the time. Have to switch to parking lights and back to OFF again for both to work (auto low beam on in Sweden). I think this is a problem with the...
