bit of an update, i have been a bit busy lately so not much done but hopefully should be prepaired and ready to paint by the weekend.
 
thanks to captian for removing the door handles, they were a pain.

Gotta agree with CJ there, why the weird masking?

Went over to see Cap last night, he let us use his workshop to detail the Polo and E30.
 
:unsure: :huh: i think the bodyshop guys have masked the filler bits only.
anyway whole car has been wet and dryed with 800 today and ready to paint tomarrow, hopefully.
cj your more than welcome to come and have a look.
 
bit of an update. car has been painted now B) and look ace, also it has been flat and polished and has a deep gloss shine to it :D . i have started to re fitting some parts and the fiddley'est were the door locking mec's, tuck me ages to do. have taken picks but my pc is not working properly and can not load picks on to it. will post pick when pc is fixed.

the door strips need fitting and a few other minor bits.
the paint work has come out really good with a deep shine, i'm well chuffed :D
 
excellent restoration man!! i love it, but how come not the bumpers?
 
93 accord, thanks. I have gone for the Factory look one this one that's why I have not painted the bumpers.

Cj, car should be complete by the end of the month. Can't wait.
 
hi, A sad update. I finished the restoration on this a few months ago and it turned excellent. What a beautifull drive it was. I enjoyed driving it for a couple of months untill a bloke from london was really interested in buying it. I really wanted to keep it but thought i have enjoyed it and I have got to many cars so decided to sell it.
So there you go a bit of a wheeler dealer style, give it a new lease of life and happy new owner.
already missing it.

hopefully it tucked away in garage and coming out on dry weekends.
