I rang Holdcroft Honda based on posts in this forum and mentioned that I had come from this forum and he did a Honda battery for my diesel for £45 delivered. Holdcroft Honda are ace!
So I have been having tailgate issues on my 05 tourer for some time now. The unplug the battery and wait 5 minutes trick worked a couple of times but then stopped and it has been stuck for ages.
Then I started to get problems driving around if I stuck my foot down, it would sputter and choke...
I removed my remap for the time being as the summer camping season is here and I find towing produces a lot of smoke. I think my fuel economy has actually gone up. This might be because when remapped I have better power and upt my foot down more :)
Still lucky to get 500 out of a tank though...
All 4 tyres are new within the last 6 months but tbh this happened before I got new tyres too. I know nothing about tyres and wheels, are the valves separate from the tyres? Could they be faulty and need replacing? I find at the moment I have to put air in them every week or two. I can find one...
I've given this up as a bad job  I'll just get pi$$ed off if I measure my mpg I have decided. If I get more than 400 to a tank then I'm happy and stop worrying after that. It's never gonna be a massively efficient car I reckon so I'll just forget it for now. It was cheap enough to buy...
I would be interested to know when you next refill what the *actual* mpg is. Seeing as though pretty much everyone who has done the calculation by hand and has the trip computer has found it to be way out...
I apparently have some loose droplinks on my tourer, I can hear them when going over bumpy roads slowly. How easy are they to fit? are there any pictures or diagrams anywhere?
Yes but the really high figures are all from facelifts I think. As far as I can tell so far from re-reading through all the tourer owners who are actually calculating rather than relying on computers are actually getting something like 42mpg....
