    Outside Temperature

My ES has got it also! Im not convinced of their accuracy though, unless my sensor is dirty it reads about 3-4 degrees above what it actually is outside.

    heated seats.

On my 6th gen, The base of my drivers seat did heat up but would heat up so much that it would burn my A*** . lol... After a while it stopped working and now just the backrest heats up. The passenger seat is still fully functional. I think that the element must have died/burned out. I think...

    Bubbles In Coolant/Radiator

Quick update guys, I did the check again today and this time there were no bubbles coming up through the filler cap! So the only thing that I can think of is that there was perhaps some air trapped in the system from the last coolant change? When there was bubbles coming up the first time...

    Bubbles In Coolant/Radiator

There is no loss of water at all, the coolant is about a year old so is due for a flush. The coolant was pink when first put in but is now green if that is of any significance (unsure?). Somebody I know suggested that it could be a sticking thermostat causing the bubbling but I cant see that...

    Bubbles In Coolant/Radiator

Hi Guys, I am fearing the worst here but think that my head gasket may be failing? Noticed a small loss of performance, noisier engine and checked the coolant with the cap off from cold start. The coolant slowly started to raise up and then small bubbles started to pop up to the surface. I...

    Air Box?

It is the resonator chamber buddy. I took mine off to improve airflow with my K&N panel filter. It will not harm your car to remove it but you will probably get a bit more induction roar when vtec kicks in. Probably a good idea to reset the ECU if you do remove it though as it will be drawing...

    VTEC Question

The Vtec camshafts have an additional set of lobes which are electronically activated at certain rpm counts which change the cam's timing. Also, this electronic system knows when there is not enough oil running through and will not activate the extra lobes if you are low on oil. The difference...

    washer jet

Mate, you can get them cheap as chips on ebay for a new pair. Most of them will fir just fine. I changed mine ages ago with some fine mist ones for about £4 and they are great!

    VTEC Question

Hi Andy, I would check your oil levels are correct as if the oil is on or below the bottom marker then vtec will not engage! It is designed to protect your engine if oil is low. Like the others have said, you wont get a sudden woosh of power when it kicks in on the F series engines as the Vtec...

    Has anyone changed the front

They are most likely the originals mate as mine were. I had to replace the whole upper arms with aftermarket ones because Honda made them all in one peice so they cannot be pressed out. Next time though I can just replace the ball joints as opposed to the whole arms!

    Does this sound right?

It does work on win 7! You have to burn the iso to disk and install from the disk with xp service pack 2 compatabillity settings (right click on installer). Then you have to set the data route to the info on the disk through the cdrom! Ive had it working on win 7 for 2 years now with no problems

Metallic noise from n/s of car

Further to my last reply, if it is the retainer thats causing the problem, then some copper grease will sort the problem!

Metallic noise from n/s of car

Sounds to me like the retainer that surounds your pads. Could be sticking or bent! Its just a thin metal plate that bends around the pads in order to reduce brake squeal. Worth a check!

Magnetic sump plug and transmission drain plug

I am pretty sure that the transmission has magnetic sump plug as standard! I know that the autobox does!

6TH GEN AUTO GEAR BOX WARRANTY EXTENSION

Also its worth mentioning that as it has a full honda service history like mine, part of the service includes them checking the differential for excessive wear on the auto box. So if there were any problems there you should have some form of documentation. For your own piece of mind, get...

6TH GEN AUTO GEAR BOX WARRANTY EXTENSION

I have had my 1999 1.8 auto ES for about 2 years now. It had 75000 on the clock when I bought it with full Honda service history. The autobox still works like new with absolutly no problems whatsoever! I changed the transmission fluid a month or so ago and the magnetic sump plug had hardly...

    What is this for?

I would imagine so but I would rather not mess around with that just incase I mess it up! lol... I am usually pretty confident with doing things myself but for some reason this area bugs me.
