Doesnt sound like a dmf issue and way too soon for the pressure plate to fail.
Perhaps your slave/master has failed, but then surely the pedal would go straight to the floor...i would press the clutch pedal and get someone to confirm full travel on slave.if the slave is working fine it could be...
Sounds like you may still have air in the system. Ditch the mechanic! Cheapest solution is to try bleeding it again yourself. This site should have a few posts on how to do it. Visually inspect your fluid to verify its not dark.
My alternator made A ticking noise as well but passed voltage tests. Take your aux belt off and start the car,no noise means something on thats powered by the aux belt is o. Its way out.
First thing to do is completely clean the area with brake cleaner . Lots and lots of the stuff, I would but a few litres and get a plastic pressure pump spray bottle.

I've done a few hundred miles now and everything is good so far. Not going to call this a success until I've done a few thousand.
I used a hose. Greasing the release bearing is not going to reduce noise though.
Before proceeding you should record the noise and let us all help you diagnose the exact source.
