    Help - Dealer overfilled oil

this is really one of my pet peeves when getting servicing done on the car...each time i check straight away to see if they have overfilled...a lot of the times they have, as people have recommended try to get out the excess oil via the tips stick with some hose or just nip down to a local...

    Accelerator sensor cable slack

yep this is the first thing that I do on the car too....it's just really odd why there is about 5mm deflection of the cable before it moves the actuator. It's not just a Honda thing to every other car I've meddled with is the same and the thing is there only seems like there is enough room to...

Flickering / Dimming / Failing LCD screen

it sounds like a dodgy connection and i guess it's hard to say until the unit is taken out to have a look at. It's a relatively simple thing once it's out. A simple discnnection and reconnection may be all it needs if not you may need to delve further and have a look at the LCD board...

    Front/rear disc size

14"...am i reading correctly ..... lol. if you think about it. It's a bit strange that wheel size dictates the size of the disc? It just seems a bizarre way to choose them.

    Do they al fail?

i think it's unreasonable to think they ALL fail, what we capture here is only a fraction of the cars out there and majority of the car who find there way here are the ones who have issues so teh data is somewhat biased. Perol cars have their issues too, BUT the mileage people do in them is...

Loud Knock Noise When Turning Steering

As oscar says above play in the steering can be checked quite easily. However it depends what kind of a problem it is. you describe banging...but what we don't know is how loud/tone etc. and we can only guess here. The thing is with modern cars tolerances are so fine that the old are of...

    messy oil filter change

you don't describe how and where it got dirty? if you mean it hit on the drive shaft and lower wishbone then yes....but shouldn't go everywhere lol. have a tray under it, leave it until dribbling, screw on the new filter and then wipe off the oil on the driveshaft and wishbone...shouldn't...

    Reverse Parking Sensors

while we all seem to advocate DIY in many cases I guess someone just doesn't have the time or inclination! I guess in those cases you need to substitute a bit of money :D ...in any case reversing sensors are really very cheap as you have found. dealership fitment will ofcourse be very...

    Sat Nav

It really depends on what functions you want from the Nav. If you want just simple convenient navigation, build in is always better IMHO....no fiddling with cradles, sat lock issues and generally forgetting the thing! i use TomTom as a backup on the phone but the built in system has spoilt...
