Aftermarket headunit with bose sub and amp?

The bose system is designed to work as a completes system. All the speakers and sub are part of that and there are two boxes which control it. One under the passenger seat and one behind the rear seat on the driver's side. I too wanted to utilise the existing sub with an Alpine head unit but...

    Wheel bearings

I had a droning in my 6th gen at 65-70mph. It was impossible to pinpoint where the sound was coming from whilst on the move. The only way to tell was to jack up the front end remove the wheel and brake pads, then turn the brake disc and I could feel the notchiness in the bearing. Any decent...

    Wheel bearings

Absolute Bo**ocks! Had both my front bearings pressed out and replaced for £15 a side as I provided the bearings and I do not own a press. The only thing you have to be careful of is they have to be fitted a certain way round due to the ABS but there was a leaflet in the box explaining which was...

    steerin problem

Taken directly from the Honda service manual under the word caution in big letters: "Use only Genuine Honda Power Steering Fluid S. Using other fluids such as ATF or other manufacturer’s power steering fluid will damage the system." Genuine Honda fluid is straw coloured and smells nothing like...

    Newbie Needs Some Advice

To change the timing belt you will need some special tools. One to lock the crankshaft whilst undoing the pulley bolt >>Like this<< and one to lock the balancer shaft in the right place >>Like this<< . The second is not essential but makes life easier. The crankshaft pulley bolt can be stupidly...

    steerin problem

That is the pump mixing the air and fluid together. Let the bubbles come out of the liquid and top up. Then start the engine and move the wheel from lock to lock. It will make funny noises as the air moves through the pump but it will clear quite quickly. You need to find the source of the fluid...

    steerin problem

Genuine Honda power steering fluid is light straw coloured when new. Hopefully, fixing the leak and a flush will work. If not, it is an easy job to change the pump.

    engine pinking noise

Ignition timing too far advanced is what causes pre-ignition. Check the inside of the distributor cap, make sure the distributor has not come loose and get your timing checked.

    Engine Warning Light

The codes that were given show it to be the heater circuit in the front sensor. According to the manual it should be 12 - 14 ohms at 20 deg c through the heater circuit in the sensor so a temporary fix as mentioned by Jon_G above should work but it is a pity that us 6th gen F20B6 owners are...

3 litres of oil gone in 1.5 miles!

There is a special tool available to lock the crankshaft pulley like >>>This<<< I have one but having removed numerous Honda pulleys recently I have found a heavy duty pneumatic impact wrench to work best. By heavy duty I mean like >>>This<<< that gives 600 ft/lbs of torque. Works every time...

    1999 Accord 1.8iVTEC S Auto

If it was the cat it would be giving a MIL error. I reckon it is an injector that is dribbling. As said above when you get them tested they should flow match them too. Try some decent injector cleaner first like Forte or >>>This<<< one. Not too expensive and it could sort your problem. Do you...
